BOMBOM is here to help by bringing you the Design Not Drama Contest where you can show the world how you keep the drama on the down low in your relationships! Express how you dial down the drama by designing a t-shirt that reflects the BOM = Boss of Me themes. Use the Entry Editor or download a t-shirt template, create your Design Not Drama statement either as a slogan or picture and submit to win a $1000 Apple Gift Card, 20 t-shirt copies of your design plus have your entry posted on BOM411.com.

This contest is open to California residents aged 15-19. The grand prize winner, based on most creative, best slogan and best reflection of theme, will receive a $1,000 Apple® Gift Card, 20 copies of his or her t-shirt and the design featured on the BOM411.com website. Prizes will also be given away for the runner-up and 4 most viral winners.

The Animation Book FestivalA heads up for those of you in the Los Angeles area - The Second Annual Animation Book Look, a unique author/artist signature book signing event, will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Sherman Oaks, CA. Co-hosted by Van Eaton Galleries and The Creative Talent Network, Animation Book Look is a gathering of authors and artists from the animation industry. MyToons.com and Animation Magazine are co-sponsoring the event.

Animation Book Look provides an opportunity for professionals from the publishing and animation industries to promote themselves and their art to fans, collectors, and art aficionados. This festival of book signings and art(ist) sightings is the only event of its kind in the country, featuring appearances by well-known visual and literary artists, as well as, “undiscovered” animation authors.

Try a Litttle Flashosophy

Flashosophy

Not a philosophy, but it’s definitely Flash! You’ve been invited to display your skills in the play and in the development of this new game. Flashosophy was created by members of the Flash Player team at Adobe Systems San Francisco. Their goal is to provide a fun place for both Flash game players and developers. Players will be rewarded with cash prizes for achieving high scores, and developers will be rewarded with Adobe software for creating games with their engines.

All games and engines are free. The site was launched last week and the contest starts on May 1st. Top scores are rewarded monthly through cash dropped into your Paypal account. Developers will be rewarded every two to three months by entering in the game creation contests. Visit the site to learn more.
