Students learn about design and concepts of architecture, critical thinking, materials, problem solving, communication, and computer technology. The architecture program is affiliated with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture and students can join the American Institute of Architecture.

The interior design program prepares students for further study at a four-year college or for entry-level careers. The course of study includes current methods, materials, and techniques and is relevant to new technology and trends in the marketplace.

The art department offers a program in communication design, which trains students to find work as a graphic designer, computer graphics artist, web designer, or computer animator. Courses are hands-on and include web site design, 3-D computer animation, video game design, and digital design.

The art department also has a program devoted entirely to web design. Students are trained to find careers in creating web sites. Coursework includes Flash animation, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.

The third and final program in the art department is multimedia design. This prepares students to work with film, video, CDs, and DVDs. The courses are taught in a state-of-the-art multimedia studio.
