Kaplan Career Institute is a private institution granting certificates and associate's degrees in career preparation areas. Kaplan has a campus in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Kaplan offers an associate's degree in specialized technology in digital arts. The program combines hand drawing and illustration with modern computer technology. Students are prepared for careers in art, digital animation, multimedia design, prepress production, Web design, and TV and video production. In addition to art, students receive a liberal arts education and learn marketing and business management. Coursework includes fine arts, drawing, illustration, art history, communications, marketing, psychology, graphic design, and animation software. Students learn in a hands-on environment that culminates in an 'externship' at a facility approved by the school.
Kaplan Career Institute tries to create programs for students that are both accelerated and affordable. Students may be able to receive financial aid to help pay for tuition. To qualify for any financial aid, students must be enrolled in a program at Keystone and must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
