ITT Tech in Knoxville's school of drafting and design offers the BAS in digital entertainment and game design, the AAS in computer drafting and design, the AAS in information technology ¡V multimedia, and the AAS in visual communications.
The BAS in digital entertainment and game design helps graduates prepare for career opportunities in a variety of entry-level positions involving technology associated with designing and developing digital games and multimedia applications. Courses in the program offer a foundation in digital game design (through the study of subjects such as gaming technology, game design process, animation, level design) and general education subjects.
The AAS in computer drafting and design combines wherever appropriate computer-aided drafting with conventional methods of graphic communication to solve drafting and basic design-related problems. Students are exposed to both classroom theory and laboratory projects. Students are required to create a variety of drawings of various sizes on different drawing media, and use conventional as well as computer-aided drafting equipment.
The AAS in information technology ¡V multimedia program prepares students to perform tasks associated with design and creating interactive multimedia communications. Additional curriculum topics, investigated through classroom and laboratory experiences, include introductory computer programming, multimedia applications and other related technical subjects. The program consists of a foundation core of computing and general education courses, followed by studies in multimedia applications. Potential career paths for those holding the degree include multimedia developer, multimedia specialist, graphic technician, and 3D modeler.
The AAS in visual communications curriculum consists of a foundation core of design and general education courses, followed by studies in multimedia applications. Coursework also includes graphic design, multimedia applications, and other related technical subjects.
ITT at Knoxville encourages student activities to help develop individual initiative, group leadership, and cooperation.
