OptomalPrint is announcing an open call to professional and amateur graphic designers and illustrators to enter its Print Design Competition.

Winners will be selected from submissions in the following card categories:

• Christmas Card
• Invitation Card
• Wedding Invitation

OptomalPrint says the parameters for submissions are:

Design for a new event card category not presently offered by Optimalprint. Entries in this category should employ unique design elements and should be relevant to one or more of the following age groups:

1. Babies
2. Children
3. Youth
4. Adults
5. Golden agers

The Awards Stated by OptimalPrint:

• There will be one (1) grand prize for professionals and one (1) grand prize for amateurs.
• There will not be a grand prize for each category or sub-category.
• All winners will be announced on the Optimalprint UK site not later than December 01, 2009.
• Winners of the Grand prizes will be notified by email in addition to the online announcement.

Professional Sector

• Grand Prize: 1000 GBP of printed material from Optimalprint UK and an iPod Touch.
• The winning design will also be displayed on the Optimalprint UK website.
• Honorable mentions: Up to100 of the best entries will receive an Optimalprint UK T-shirt each and will have their design displayed on Optimalprint website.

Amateur Sector

• Grand Prize: 5000 GBP of printed material from Optimalprint UK and an iPod Touch
• Honorable mentions: Up to100 of the best entries will receive an Optimalprint UK T-shirt and will have their design displayed on Optimalprint website.
