The Adobe® Design Achievement Awards celebrate student achievement reflecting the powerful convergence of technology and the creative arts. The competition - which showcases individual and group projects created with industry-leading Adobe creative software - honors the most talented and promising student graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital filmmakers, developers and computer artists from the world’s top institutions of higher education.
The 2008 Adobe Design Achievement Awards gives higher education students from around the world the creative license to propel their careers in the future. Enter in 12 categories in 3 media areas endorsed by the industry, over 60$K US in cash prizes will be awarded in New York City.

This film fest offers four categories including: Feature (over 55 min); Short (under 55 min); Documentary and Animation. The festival will accept DVD and MiniDV formats from pre-view screening. Accepted film must be made available on DVD for festival presentation. Productions that are not in English must be subtitled or dubbed in English. Each entry must be submitted with completed entry form. A press kit must accompany each entry. All cash awards will be given to the primary applicant.

Every year, Getty Images awards five photojournalists individual grants of $20,000 each, for a total of $100,000. Grant recipients are given the opportunity to sign a one-year exclusive-rights deal with Getty Images whereby their work will be marketed and available for license to customers worldwide through gettyimages.com, while retaining copyright of their imagery.
