Students currently enrolled in a community college, college or university may apply, and for the first time, can submit their video entries online. The entry deadline is 15 January 2008. SEEKING THE BEST IN SHORT FILMS, INTERACTIVE PROJECTS, MOBILE ADVERTISEMENTS AND AUDIO WORK. The Mid Atlantic Media Forum, organized by the New Jersey Technology Council is an afternoon conference and media event scheduled for Comcast’s regional offices in East Windsor, NJ on 6 February 2007. The conference will feature two discussions: What’s Clicking? The Evolution of Interactive Advertising and What VC’s Are Looking for from Media Companies, as well as a Media showcase. This call is open to media artists in NJ, PA, NY and DE. Eligible works must be recently completed. The magazine content is focused, but not restricted, to the architecture of the Gulf. Suggested themes include: Building types and Tourists’ Spaces; Global Tourism; Local Tourism; Experience and Tourism, and more. The Top Ten Green Projects program seeks to identify and recognize the benefits of high performance, sustainable design; to educate the architectural community and the public at large on the increased value that sustainable design provides for developers, building owners and occupants; and to acknowledge architects as experts in the creation of energy conscious and
environmentally responsible design solutions.
This program is an international competition open to all architects. Projects may be located anywhere in the world, but must have been designed by an architect licensed in the United States. Only completed, built projects are eligible. Entries submitted may be large or small projects, new construction or renovations, and any project type. Bacardi Limon, a leader in the flavored rum category, and The Daily, the fashion world’s authority, invite aspiring designers to add a bit of vibrant color to clothes created with a nod to individual style. The “Express Your Style” Competition will reward the undiscovered talent (21+) whose couture cocktail design best exemplifies the essence of Bacardi Limon, a unique blend of Bacardi Premium Rum, infused with an artful combination of lemon, lime and grapefruit essences.
The contest calls for entrants, aged 25 and over, to send sketches of fashions for men or women, in yellow tones, of course, that convey the excitement and intensity of a fabulous night out on the town. A description of the creative concept, in 500 words or less, must accompany the design, including the types of fabrics required. Contestants can enter as many times as they wish, but each entry must be different. Sketches may be sent either by mail or via email as a jpeg attachment sized between 600×900 and 1200×1800 pixels. Win $1,500! Entries are being accepted for the 2007 California Strawberry Festival Poster Contest. The deadline is Fri., 5 January. The festival pays tribute to California’s agricultural heritage and benefits various charities. The poster will be used in marketing and advertising, and printed on Tshirts and promotional items. Artists of all ages may work in any medium, but the finished product must be able to be reproduced in poster form.
