Artists are called to create a poster for DUMA KEY (written by Stephen King), and the winning design will be used to advertise DUMA KEY in January 2008, and will be seen on the London Underground and at outdoor sites throughout the UK. The designers of the top ten entries will each receive an exclusive bound proof of DUMA KEY with their name printed on the front cover, and the winner will also receive a copy of the finished poster based on their design.

YoYo Games announces unique web 2.0 game design competition where the winner will walk away with $1,000. In the spirit of Web 2.0, the competition will be judged first and foremost by the YoYo Games community, although the final decision will lie with the staff at YoYo Games and the creator of Game Maker Professor Mark Overmars. First prize in the competition will go to the developer who displays the most creativity, ingenuity and skill in their entry. Second place will take home $500, and third place a still respectable $250.

FiberMark is now accepting entries for the Inspiration at Work 15th Annual Specifier Awards program. Projects that incorporate FiberMark’s specialty cover materials and have been produced in 2007 are eligible for submission. Entries are judged on design, decoration, printing and construction quality, and the relationship of the material to the project.

In addition to the traditional publishing, packaging, menu and presentation categories, the program has been expanded for the 2nd year in a row to include graphic design collateral, including annual reports, brochures, calendars, posters, invitations and more. The City of Pawtucket in partnership with the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor Commission is pleased to announce a competition to engage the design community in the development of a sculptural element to be located on a prominent space in Pawtucket (Rhode Island).
