New online Flash tutorial for beginners available for only $15 US

Meet the Flash is a new Flash-animated E-book designed to teach Flash beginners how to create a Flash movie. This book, recently released by Andrei (Andrew) Doubrovski, a professional photographic restoration artist and technician who previously released the “As Simple As Photoshop” study at home course for Adobe Photoshop users, created a simple and easy-to-use format. Doubrovski also is an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in Photoshop CS.

Meet The Flash helps to speed up the learning process, as each lesson is packed with a movie clip that shows some practical usage of the lesson. The tutorials cover the program essentials used to create still graphics, animations, and text. Youth Pride Center Opens Studio in Chicago

The Youth Pride Center (YPC) has announced the grand opening of YPC Entertainment, a state-of-the-art multimedia and recording studio for Chicago’s LGBT youth under the age of 23. In conjunction with After School Matters and Benchmark Studio, the studio, 345 N. Loomis provides the many free services/classes ( in such subjects as photography, music recording/production and typography ) to LGBT youth every Thursday, beginning Oct. 5, 4-6:30 p.m. Youth are encouraged to sign up at the YPC, 637 S. Dearborn, to get free memberships. Memberships are required to get free studio time, however is not required to take classes and trainings.

They invite you to look at the world through the eyes of designers from different disciplines whose work affects the masses.
