The 2010 Michelin Challenge Design
Michelin North America, Inc. ("Michelin") created the annual Michelin Challenge Design to celebrate, promote, publicize and give visibility to original creative thinking and innovation in vehicle design. MCD Participants for 2010 are challenged to create concepts that could dramatically improve energy efficiency, minimize environmental impact and satisfy consumer demand for an attractive and usable vehicle design. They are encouraged to explore the future of transportation and illustrate their vision for a vehicle equipped with an alternative powertrain that integrates one or more electric-driven components, and uses innovative technologies, materials, electronics, size and shapes in new and unprecedented ways.
Additional consideration will be given to entries that include a separate rendering of the tire and wheel component assembly.
In order to be considered for the Challenge, they require that you provide a concise 50-100 word overview statement indicating how your transportation design solution will meet the 2009 Michelin Challenge Design theme requirements. Michelin Challenge Design is open to residents of any country. Student designers who are working with an engineering department, at a university, are required to take the lead role in the development of any submitted work.
Questionnaire deadline is 15 April 2009. Visit the site to learn more about the Challenge, other deadlines and guidelines.
