Internation Talent Support (ITS) Fashion Competition

ITS Fashion Design Competiton 2009This fashion design competition is the core of International Talent Support (ITS). Throughout the years it has become an established and world renowned event. Eligible entrants include college students in their final year of a fashion design course (BA or MA), who will graduate in 2009 as fashion designers; fashion design graduates; and young talents not in possession of a diploma in fashion design, yet who work as fashion designers.

ITS is a real bridge between fashion schools and the fashion industry, and all of the work placements, internships and special projects granted to the finalists after the event prove it. They collaborate regularly for work placements with brands like Diesel (of course), Antonio Marras, MaxMara, John Galliano, Armani and Viktor & Rolf, only to mention a few. i-D magazine, a long time friend of ITS, offers an award to the collection with the most interesting styling. Major industry players also offer their support. A renowned fabrics company will supply ITS#FASHION finalists at ITS#EIGHT with fabrics to create their final collection. Vertice boutique in Turin has joined ITS' support philosophy as well: a finalist will be chosen to display their collection in the shop windows during the important international art fair, "Artissima", held in Turin, Italy in November. The fashion show hairstyling will be done by L'Oréal Professionnel, while the make-up will be offered by Patricia Milton.

The deadline to enrol is 25 March 2009. In April the pre-selections take place (16-17 April 2009) and the finalists are selected. The ITS#FASHION finals are in July. Visit the site to learn more.
