Everyone needs power. In this case, we are talking about portable battery power.
Ardica, the makers of the Moshi rechargeable power system, is announcing an open call to designers to enter its Power to the People Design Contest.
Ardica wants sketches and written descriptions of your product concept that will use its Ardica Moshi portable power system in a unique and practical way.
Maybe you can devise a shoe that warms up your feet in cold weather or invent a portable electric stove for outdoor cooking. It’s all up to your imagination.
But one thing to remember; your idea has to be feasible and useful. So if you have a concept about a portable underwater electric basket weaving machine, it probably won’t meet the parameters of the contest.
Judging of entries will be weighed on the following criteria:
First Place - $5,000
Second Place - $3,000
Third Place - $2,000
Best Student - $2,000
This contest is eligible to all individuals 18 years or older. For the full guidelines and contest rules, click here.
The contest deadline is slated for October 1, 2009. Winners will be announced on October 15, 2009.
