Open to everyone, the semi-annual Pulse Innovative Design Contest encourages designers and non-designers alike to submit original designs to Pulse for consideration. The winner gets fame and fortune (well maybe not) and Pulse stay son the cutting edge by constantly shaking up their product line and hearing from the people on the street. Plus, it’s is part of our mandate to support the design community by giving it access to manufacturing, marketing venues and potential revenues.

Although in the spirit of being kind to one another they’d like to say everyone is a winner, in this case they’re not. Pulse will pick a maximum of 2 winners from each submission deadline. However if there is no entries that blow them away, they may not declare a winner for that deadline.

Prize is $1000 USD per winner, inclusion in the Pulse furniture line-up, 1% royalties on all sales generated by the winning design (lifetime), and infamy. The deadlines each year are 15 January and 15 July. Both dates will be noted on this calendar for 2008. Visit the site to learn more.
