The Animation Show and Mobifest, the world’s largest independent mobile film festival, present MOBIFEST LA, a one-of-a-kind event, which brings the world’s top animators to the small screen. “Mobile is a fun new format and a totally different way for animatorsto reach a huge new audience,” says Robert May, producer of The AnimationShow. “Soon everyone will be able to carry a pocket full of animation withthem wherever they go.”

Established and emerging animators can enter the competition and be one of five animations screened at MOBIFEST LA. Finalists will be selected by apanel of celebrity judges with the best animation eligible for a grandprize that includes a trip to MOBIFEST LA, a creative session with Mike Judge, a mobile distribution agreement, a Palm(R) Treo(TM) smartphone, anda Microsoft Zune(TM) digital media player.

Animators can also submit original work under a special video contestcategory entitled “Sweet Dreams.” Sponsored by NESTLE(R) BUTTERFINGER(R), “Sweet Dreams” tasks animators and filmmakers to create a dream sequencefor Butterfinger’s icon, “The Finger.” “The Finger,” who represents theButterfinger’s promise to “Feed Your Appetite for Fun,” was launched inearly 2006 and has since spawned a popular online community(http://www.followthefinger.com) dedicated to “Inventive Fun.”

Deadline for submissions to MOBIFEST LA is 28 March. All animations submitted must be 60 seconds or less, and shot and created specifically for the small screen.
