HDFEST is now seeking entries of films for its 2008 Festival Events. HDFEST 2008 marks the organization’s 9th year of celebrating High-Definition filmmaking. The festival screens exclusively movies shot with Hi-Def or HDV cameras. All festival content is also projected using HD technology. Festival events have been taking place since 2000. Festivals take place annually in the UK, Finland, New York City, Seoul and Los Angeles. HDFEST also includes panels and seminars on digital filmmaking and HD technology.
HDFEST is open to submissions of feature films, short films, music videos, animation, experimental films and documentaries created using HD or HDV technology. All movies must have been completed after January 2006.
