If you have designed – or are planning to design – a great piece of men’s jewelry, submit it in the 30th annual George A. Schuetz Jewelry Design Contest. Created in honor of the late men’s jewelry designer George A. Schuetz, this international contest recognizes the best original designs in men’s jewelry. Hosted by the Gemological Institute of America, the competition is open to any and all designers who wish to participate. Last year more than a hundred designers representing numerous countries submitted their renderings.
Contestants may submit only one original color design, and it must not have been previously exhibited or offered for sale. Each entry is judged blindly by a panel of independent industry specialists, based on its design, wearability, feasibility, and appeal. Entries will not be returned. The winning designer will receive a $500 award and a plaque to commemorate the accomplishment. Two honorable mention awards, one each for second and third place, will be recognized with plaques. Winners will be announced in August. Visit the site for details and entry form.
Entries are accepted April 1 – June 15.
