BRITDOC is an intense 3 day experience, a think-tank for investigating new business models for funding and distributing documentaries. As the media landscape in the UK transforms faster than the melting of the Greenland ice sheet, we need to put our heads together and reinvent the future of documentary.
This year we are welcoming art and artists to BRITDOC. Over the past few years the most daring experimentation with and critiques of documentary have come from the art world rather than television. Leading artists like Gillian Wearing and Michael Landy will be joining us and we will hosting a series of exhibitions and installations. Feature documentaries and shorts are welcome for entry. Submissions for feature films close on Friday 11th May 2007. Submissions for shorts closes on Friday 26 May 2007. Visit the site for details.
