The mission of Art in Motion is to make Lexington, Kentucky, more vibrant and livable through the fusion of public art, public transportation and public spaces. The first goal is to enhance Lexington’s transit system through the design and construction of bus shelters that incorporate murals and sculpture.

Professional architects, engineers, sculptors and artists are eligible. The contest is also open to submittals by students under the supervision of professional architects, engineers, sculptors and artists. Deadline for proposals: 16 July 2007.
