Apothecary JarHave a little time on your hands? Meet this challenge: Design new graphics for the classic C.O. Bigelow Apothecary Jar to be sold as a limited-edition item. Final winner will receive $2500 from the Gen Art Foundation.

C.O. Bigelow and Gen Art are hosting a national design competition dubbed the “C.O. Bigelow Apothecary Jar Design Program” that offers visual artists and designers a unique opportunity to design original graphics for its classic C.O. Bigelow Apothecary Jar. Inspiration for artwork should be the brand credo: Honest. Genuine. Trustworthy. The limited edition Apothecary Jar will be sold at participating Bath and Body Works stores. C.O. Bigelow also reserves the right to feature and sell this product online.

Three talented finalists will be chosen by Gen Art & C.O. Bigelow’s judging panel of artistic and package-design professionals and will be based on originality and quality of design. One talented winner from the three finalists will be selected to have their design produced on a limited edition Apothecary Holiday jar sold in participating stores. In addition, all three finalists will receive a one-year complimentary Gen Art membership and a one-year supply of C.O. Bigelow products.

Design submissions will be received by Gen Art through regular mail through 15 January 2007. Contest deadline is 15 January 2007. From 15 January through 1 February, the Gen Art & C.O. Bigelow judging panel will review all contest submissions. The winner and finalists will be notified by 1 February 2007 and his/her winning design will go into production immediately for Holiday 2007 launch.
